Winning EuroMillions Couple Secretly Married
In February 2010, Nigel Page was pictured with his partner of 8 years, Justine Laycock, celebrating their massive £56m win from the EuroMillions draw.
As Ms Laycock’s name was noticeably absent from the huge cheque, the couple decided to ensure the fortune could be shared equally between them and decided to marry in a secret Registry Office ceremony.
According to a tabloid newspaper, Mr. Page confirmed he and Justine were married over Easter, saying, “Yes, we are married, and very happy.”
The wedding was very low key; in the absence of friends and relatives, Registry Office staff stood in as witnesses. Mr Page’s father commented that the couple wanted to marry quietly, by themselves, without any publicity at all.
The newlyweds, who have both been previously married, set off on a luxury honeymoon in Dubai, taking their children, and some family members with them, for the treat. The cost of the honeymoon is reported to be in the region of £70,000.
The newlyweds accompanied by their children, are now living in a £4m eco-friendly lodge in Gloucestershire. The mansion, which is next door to that of Liz Hurley, includes a 25 seat cinema room, indoor swimming pool and sauna.
