Lottery Bosses Still Searching For £113m EuroMillions Winner

Seven days on from the draw in which a EuroMillions winner has netted £113m, the prize still remained unclaimed.

Teams of Lottery officials are now poised to scour the area in which the winning ticket was purchased, in an attempt to track down the latest UK multi – millionaire.  It is anticipated that Camelot will announce the location next week.

Lottery Bosses are keen to unite the lucky winner with their prize, yet feel the process could drag on for weeks.

The draw on Friday 15th October 2010, turned the as-yet anonymous winner into the 589th wealthiest person in the UK, with a fortune greater than that of pop star Robbie Williams, 36.  Yet at the time of writing, the prize remains unclaimed, despite the potential loss of  a mind-boggling £8500 a day interest.

Camelot commented that it was not the first time a huge prize winner had delayed coming forward; they believe the lucky winner could be part of a syndicate, or away on holiday. More worryingly they could have mislaid their ticket, or forgotten about it.  (Something that couldn’t happen to members of our e-Lottery syndictates.  Our head office would be on the phone chasing members up for a champagne reception!)

Going back to the missing winner, Camelot spokesman said, “In the past, when there was the second biggest prize available of £20m, the ticket holder delayed by three weeks before collecting their prize.  On another occasion, it took a man three weeks to check his ticket, to find that he had won £2.5m.  Everyone is different, we believe the lucky winner has not checked their ticket yet, for whatever reason.”

Whatever the reason for the delay, the lucky winner has 180 days in which to claim the rollover prize of £113,019,926, using numbers, 9, 30, 35, 39, 46 and lucky stars 6, 8. The odds against anyone accomplishing this achievement of all digits correct, is a staggering 76.2m to 1.

So, if YOU have still to check your numbers, now is the time. And if it wasn’t you, remember you can increase your chances by joining an e-Lottery syndicate. Click the banners below for more information.
