Who Won the EuroMillions Jackpot?
£39.7m EuroMillions Jackpot Claimed
A fortunate UK ticket holder who won £39.7m in last Friday’s EuroMillions draw, has now received their prize money, according to Camelot, the National Lottery Operator. Camelot further added that the money had been paid into the ticket holder’s bank account, after essential validation processes were successful.
According to Camelot, the latest Lottery winner is rated third in the National Lottery Rich List. The lucky winner has elected to remain anonymous.
Now here’s an interesting question for you to think about. What would you do? Remain anonymous – which could slightly take the fun out of the win – or go public – and be faced with the task of sifting through deserving and undeserving requests for donations.
Having a bit of a soft-heart for a hard-luck story I guess I’d do best to keep my new found fortunes to myself, just making whatever gifts I chose to family, friends and the good causes I already support, or which I could support.
Although I’d miss out on the excitement of press conferences and partying, I know I could still take enormous but quiet delight from the relief of being financially secure for life without having to wonder which friends were true friends. (For anyone of my friends who happens to read this, I hasten to add that your motive for friendship is never in doubt!)
I’d love to hear what my readers would do. Please do post your thoughts as comments. No need to go public here either, post under a pseudonym if you prefer
Back to the report of this life-changing win, a Camelot spokesman said “This fabulous win has kept the UK at the forefront in winning large EuroMillions jackpots of recent. In the last 15 years, a massive £24 billion fund, raised for good causes, has been made possible by EuroMillions players.”
You could increase your chances of winning in the next draw, right now, by joining a EuroMillions online syndicate. Click to find out more.
