£39.7 Million EuroMilllions Lottery Prize Won By A Brit.

In the EuroMillions Lottery draw held on Friday 26th March 2010, the £39.7 million jackpot prize was won by a British person. With 18, 37, 08, 16, 43 as winning numbers, and 2, 6, being Lucky Star numbers, this win is the third highest amount of money to be won by a UK ticket holder on the EuroMillions Lottery.

A spokesman from the National Lottery confirmed that once a claim has been received and validated the £39.7 million prize could be paid to the winner as soon as the banks open first thing on Monday. The raffle section was won by a UK millionaire, matching HLV958484.

This jackpot win has happened just one month after the record breaking £56  million win of Nigel Page, and Justine Laycock on EuroMillions, which in turn surpassed a £91 million pay out in November 2009,  shared between two ticket holders.
