It was revealed that, in the draw on 16th January 2010, the fourth biggest EuroMillions Lottery prize of £26 million has been claimed by a British ticket holder.

Subject to verification, the payout of £26,151 million is the entitlement of the British ticket holder, with the total EuroMillions prize being shared with a ticket holder from France.

The winning numbers were: 11, 26, 29, 29, 50.

A National Lottery spokesman was quoted as being delighted that the EuroMillions winner is a UK resident, as were the previous record breaking winners in November of last year. The source was also quoted as saying how much they were looking forward to welcoming the winner to the Millionaire’s Club.

Records show, that in its 15 year history more than 2,350 people have become millionaires, with players to date having raised £24 billion towards good causes.

A further quote from the National Lottery spokesman highlighted the UK’s continued run of success with winners in the last couple of years. Glaswegian Angela Kelly picked up £35.4 million in August 2007, and in the same month, an anonymous ticket holder collected £26.5 million.

VWD syndicates are highly regulated by the Lottery Council, and playing in an online syndicate makes it simple for you to play the EuroMillions whether you are from the UK, Europe or almost any country in the world (not the USA).
